Hong Kong Shares Up 0.17% at Break

Hong Kong equities advanced 0.17 percent in the morning session, in line with a global rally as traders grow confident Greece will strike a last-minute debt reform deal with its creditors.


The Hang Seng Index added 47.74 points to 27,381.20 on turnover of HK$ 63.12 billion (US$ 8.14 billion).


The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.91 percent, or 41.54 points, to 4,618.03.


The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, added 0.51 percent, or 14.22 points, to 2,788.86.
