Hong Kong Stocks Up 1.87% By Lunch

Hong Kong shares climbed 1.87 percent in the morning session Monday after China’s central bank cut interest rates for the first time in more than two years as it looks to kickstart growth in the world’s number two economy.


The benchmark Hang Seng Index added 438.85 points to 23,875.97 by the break, on turnover of HK$ 58.94 billion ($ 7.61 billion).
